Gerrit and Erin had their wedding day up in the mountains at Green Valley Lake. It was my first mountain wedding. It was such different scenery and lighting, and it smelled amazing too. I love seeing how each couple expresses their personalities and love through their wedding. Rob and I often wonder what we would do differently if we were going to plan our wedding now. I’m sure it wouldn’t be as cheap as what we got away with then, so it’s probably good that we didn’t know any better.

It’s always an adventure photographing my kids or my nephews. When the kids know the photographer, they’re so much more comfortable to be very silly and all over the place. But, I love doing it because they’re such special little guys.

David and Chelsea’s wedding was so intimate and real - all about the meaning and not about the production. I love when I get to do a couple’s engagement pictures and wedding day. I feel like I have a good start at getting to know who they are as a couple. One of my friends from college once told me that she liked hanging around with married people and their spouses because they’re so much more complete. I like that.
