I should’ve told these two to wear their hiking boots! On the way to their photoshoot, I randomly spotted such a perfect location on the side of a hill, over a deep ditch, and through prickly bushes. It definitely required some off-roading. I’m so excited about this photo shoot!

For some reason, I tend to photograph in locations with lots of willing lady bugs. Isn’t it funny how we’ll totally ooo and ah over a lady bug as we let it crawl all over us, but if it didn’t have the red with black polka dots we’d freak out and shoo it away? Anyway, I think lady bugs are cute and a welcome addition to my photographs!

I’ll definitely be sad when all of these awesome wild flowers leave southern California! Just a couple more weeks and I’m sure they’ll all be gone. But, I’m glad we got in them when we did. Shawn and Joanne were a lot of fun to photograph. I can’t wait for the wedding!

Apparently, the sand right next to the Santa Monica pier is a pretty popular place right before sunset. There were photographers and couples everywhere. It was a little unreal actually. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were at least 8 photographers trying to squeeze their clients in the perfect spot while tons of other people attempted the same. But, who can blame them? I was right there with them, and the sunset was out of this world.
