This was taken at the Guru Guru IDP camp. It was definitely the most uncomfortable place we visited with the most obvious results of 22 years of war and spiritual oppression. Favor of God Ministries is just beginning to work in this camp. They begin with 2 weeks of Trauma Counseling and then offer a 2-month long Portable Bible School. If it’s like any of the other camps we visited, it will be a completely different place afterwards.
This is a great example of what I just explained. Here in Lira, we helped in the Bible Distribution which comes at the end of the Portable Bible School. Compare the two pictures. What a difference!

My husband, son, and I just got back from Uganda. One of my main roles on this trip was supposed to be taking pictures. I definitely over-estimated my ability to juggle a 1-year-old and still be able to focus on photography. Needless to say, I got about 1/10 the amount of pictures that I wanted. But, the trip was awesome, and we did manage to get some good shots.
